I have just got the PFD app and am very impressed with it. An enormous amount of work must have gone into it. I now would like to get the MFD app but only have an Ipad2. Clearly the MFD app does not appear to work with Ipad2, so i was wondering if you had any plans to develop a simpler MFD to use with Ipad 2. If so that would be great, and also widen the audience for the app.
I’m working on optimizing the program right now, but not sure if I can make it run on iPad 2 smoothly. Stay tuned.
Great apps so far! I want to build a panel with actual buttons to overlay the ipad. Do you have any plans to open up an API to send button press events?
No plan for that for now.
Hi, I have a problem with the MFD app, it keeps freezing, even when entering a direct to, I'm running it on iPad air
Tell me the location of the aircraft when that happened. I’ll do a test. Meanwhile, try other locations see if it’s still freezing. I’m working on improving the MFD right now.
Hi. Purchased Simionic Simulator for G1000 yesterday. I got the receipt, but I do not find it on my Imac at all. On Itunes store I can find it as the latest. I´m not able to download it. The "download" menu is now grey
It’s an app for iPad, not iMac. And it should be able to download from AppStore.
Everything seems to be working well, I have both the apps but on the mfd I cannot see anything in the map. I use fsx. Any suggestions ?
The MFD uses large amount of memory so sometimes it acts abnormal, try change the range of map see if that help. I’m working on improving the MFD right now.
i can't connect anymore,i get always time out from bridge app
Make sure you start “SimConnection” in the app first and the UDP port 1568 is not occupied by any other programs on your PC
im using (2) iPad 2's. MFD doesnt seem to work. PFD works like a champ. any suggestions would be helpful.
The MFD program needs a huge amount of memory to cache topo data and navaids. With 512M memory onboard, in some area with high density of navaids, it’s possible to run out of memory. I put a notification of this in the app’s description on the AppStore. If possible, try it on iPad3 or a newer iPad. I’m sorry for the inconvenience. I’ll try to optimize memory usage in the future.
MFD is now available in the AppStore. Here is the new trailer.
Do you have a image of two iPads being used with XPlane 10? I am considering investing in XPlane capable computer and your PFD and MFD program to teach the Gamin G1000 to students. Could the two programs effectively and cheaply train students? I have purchased the PDF. Thanks
Thanks for purchasing my app. Picture and trailer will soon be published. They emulate G1000 precisely and work well with X-Plane. They are not certified trainers, but I think they will help a lot to get your students familiarized with G1000 pretty well.
I posted this also as my review. The simulation does not seem to work properly on my iPad 2. No matter how I pitch my iPad, the plane is always only pitching down. Any way to make this better?
I’ve tested it on iPad2, the pitch control works fine. I think you might have calibrated the pitch neutral point to a very low position accidentally. You may try calibrate it again. Hold the iPad at a comfort angle which you want the neutral point to be and tap the center of the screen to set the neutral point
