The MFD program needs a huge amount of memory to cache topo data and navaids. With 512M memory onboard, in some area with high density of navaids, it’s possible to run out of memory. I put a notification of this in the app’s description on the AppStore. If possible, try it on iPad3 or a newer iPad. I’m sorry for the inconvenience. I’ll try to optimize memory usage in the future.
Thanks for purchasing my app. Picture and trailer will soon be published. They emulate G1000 precisely and work well with X-Plane. They are not certified trainers, but I think they will help a lot to get your students familiarized with G1000 pretty well.
I’ve tested it on iPad2, the pitch control works fine. I think you might have calibrated the pitch neutral point to a very low position accidentally. You may try calibrate it again. Hold the iPad at a comfort angle which you want the neutral point to be and tap the center of the screen to set the neutral point
1. Slide up/down on the left(near airspeed indicator) to control throttle
2. Slide left/right on the right(near altitude indicator) to control rudder
3. Tilt the iPad to control pitch and bank
4. Tap the upper-left corner to show/hide the G1000 bezel
5. Tap the upper-right corner to open the settings window
If it shows some kind of error message regarding “side by side configuration”, that means the version of your FSX is neither sp2 nor Acceleration which is required by the bridge. Update FSX to sp2 or install FSX Acceleration will solve the problem.
Yes, tap the upper right corner to open the settings window where you can type in the new position’s ICAO code
Hello. I love the app. I have one question/suggestion. For those of us who use it as a stand alone trainer rather than connecting to FSX/X-Plane to practice our IFR procedures, is there anyway you could add a function to increase the rate of simulation or move your location without resetting to another airport? It’s quite annoying when you have programmed everything for an approach and then you have to wait for another 200 nautical miles.
Thanks. I’m working hard on the MFD all the time. It’s much more complicated than I expected. So it’s kind of delayed. I would say it’s about 80% completed(Aux pages will not be included in the first release) for now. And I hope I’ll complete it soon. Stay tuned:)
